Andrea Zimandy, DVM

Dr. Zimandy was born and raised in South Florida. She completed both her Bachelors degree in Wildlife Ecology and Masters degree at the University of Florida.  She continued her education at Atlantic Veterinary College where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Her special interests include preventative medicine, anesthesia/pain management, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Zimandy, along with her veterinarian husband, actively collaborate with multiple state agencies helping with native and invasive species in South Florida. Her volunteer work involves performing health checks on wildlife, diagnostic testing, and surgical procedures for ongoing research projects. She shares her home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, a sulfur crested cockatoo, and multiple species of tortoises.


Hanna-Katharina Hausammann, DVM

Hanna-Katharina Hausammann was born in Vienna, Austria, and grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. She returned to Austria to study veterinary medicine, and has since returned to South Florida to practice. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, she obtained her Magistra medicinae veterinaeriae (M.V.M.) from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. Her special interests include internal medicine, exotic animal medicine and oncology. She shares her home with two Australian Shepherds named Finn and Oakley, two cats named Lily and Lucy, and two horses named Luna and Ponita.


Jessica Ramirez, DVM

Dr. Jessica Ramirez was born in Queens, New York and was raised in South Florida. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Miami in 2005. She continued her education at Michigan State University, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Following graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida. Since then, Dr. Ramírez has been practicing for over 10yrs in South Florida, during which she has gained a special interest in internal medicine, emergency and critical care, as well as dentistry and behavioral medicine. She strives to provide stress free care for all of her patients and has a soft spot for helping families care for elderly pets with special needs. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, paddle boarding, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish and she shares her loving home with three dogs, Crystal, Cookie, and Marlin, as well as two cats, Rey and Bruno.


Jocelyn Sausner, DVM

Dr. Sausner grew up in Massapequa, New York. After completing her Bachelor of Arts with Honors at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Sausner earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her clinical year at North Carolina State University. After veterinary school, Dr. Sausner worked as a small animal veterinarian at a hospital outside of Raleigh for over 3 years. Dr. Sausner’s special interests include preventative health care, internal medicine and dermatology. She strives to provide a “Fear Free” experience to her patients. Dr. Sausner’s life would not be complete without her veteran fiancé and her 2 rescue dogs, a hound mix named Zulu and a Labrador Retriever named Camellia.
